Poetry

​Please send three to five previously unpublished poems as an

email attachment.

.doc or .docx format, no pdf’s.

Unfortunately we are not able to accomodate complicated

formatting.

Before submitting, please familiarize yourself with the work that we

have published in the journal and with the press.

We are particularly interested in long poems, sequences,

translation, or work that, in some way, plays around with the idea of translation.

​We ask that you wait a minimum of three months between submissions​​​.

Simultaneous submissions are welcome.

Each issue is published as a digital version on the website

and in a print edition. Because we are a fully-independent

press, and because we do not charge submission/contest fees, we are not able to provide complimentary contributor copies.

We are open year-round.

Mini-Chapbooks

We are currently seeking manuscripts of up to twelve pages

for our mini-chapbook series. Please send manuscript as an

email attachment in .doc or .docx format, no pdf’s. Cover

letter with bio (150 word max) sent as an attachment.

Reading period ends February 1, 2026. Publication

announcement will be made after the reading period has closed.

Books

Manuscripts should be 40 pp min in length. Please send as an

attachment. .doc or .docx format, no pdf’s. Cover letter with

bio (150 word max) sent as second attachment. In your cover

letter please be sure to summarize all relevant publication history.

This reading period will be open from 1/1/2026 to 3/1/2026.

We will select a max of two titles for publication in 2026 and 2027.

This is not a contest.

Authors will receive a $500 honorarium, ten author copies,

in-person book launch, promotion campaign.

Standard publication contract.

We are particularly interested in book-length poems, long sequences,

translation projects, unconventional translation projects,

work that in some way moves outside of convential narrative.

Book Reviews and Essays

We are currently seeking book reviews as well as short and

long-form essays on poetry and poetics for Antiphony’s sister journal, Pin.

Submission guidelines and contributor application may be found here.

If your work is accepted by Antiphony, you grant us first North American

serial rights, all archival rights, plus the rights to reprint in any future anthologies.

Upon publication, all rights revert back to the writer. You agree that should your

poem(s) subsequently appear in another print or online

publication, you will give due credit to Antiphony.
