We are looking for book reviews and critical essays on contemporary poetry and poetics for Pin, a bi-annual, print-only journal published under the umbrella of Antiphony Press.

Particularly interested the following:

Reviews of poetry books and/or books on contemporary poetics published within the last twelve months. (Book list available upon request.)

Book reviews that in some way move beyond the confines of the traditional book review.

Reviews of more than one book, pieces that discuss a particular writer, group of writers, or studies of writing during a specific period of time (early 20th Century to present) and/or a particular place.

Essays on translation as poetic practice, poetry and music, poetry and the visual arts, the current state of publishing.

Literary or creative non-fiction essays that in some way touch on the practice of reading and/or writing poetry.

Completed interviews and interview pitches (250 word max.)

For book reviews and essays we are open to completed work as well as pitches.
