Labor Party
The Great National Anger then gave way
Mostly from fatigue, but also, reason
In that nothing worked, and folks remembered
Those times when it wasn’t all “enemies”
The cause of every trouble, big and small
Those times when they felt to be constructive
In small steps, towards more reliable lives
Less battered by the forces of rank greed
Less harried by hourly shows of strength
From piracies demanding loyalty—
But besides people sourcing memories
They began to stoke fanciful futures
And so, confronted the present chaos
Building a Labor Party, piece by piece.
