The Art That I Want

I want the art that’s the longform oblong forms. I definitely don’t want the art ruled by the asthmatic schematic. I want the high art, hi vis, hi res, high five. I don’t want the “cut and sew” method, nor the cat call, nor the dog whistle. I want the works on paper (sure hope it does!), the rare books and manuscripts, the accidental bouffant. I want the
sculptural smoothness, the microfilm success. I want the queen of the dance floor, desired by all. I want the literary drape, the new fiction, the death of a microtrend. It’s true, I want the heart opener, page turner, head scratcher, knee slapper, hand warmer, ass clapper, tear jerker kind of art.
