Matt Turner in Conversation with Clara Davis

Matt Turner is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently The Places (BlazeVox 2025). He is also a translator, focusing on China's contemporary avant-garde––including, recently, co-translations of A Yi, Wan Xia, Ou Ning, and Yan Jun. For the last several years, his essays and reviews have been published exclusively in Cha, from Hong Kong. Recently he led a reading group on The Society of the Spectacle at Accent Sisters Gallery, in New York.

Clara Davis is an artist and writer from southeast Michigan. She holds a BA in English and a BFA in studio art from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, where she edited the literary and arts magazine Currents.
