from: “ROCK N ROLL”

Love’s a lot.   World’s anyone’s guess.   Truth’s a garden all night long and the morning after,

                                                                                                whatever’s beautiful on the radio.

      Sun shattering solo

that’s one message from the aching sky.

Another’s shaking through me.   Another’s eyelashes      lightly.

Dialing in against a commercial vision that peels

when you get to know it

            & I keep it zipped

using my best dealing with being voice.         Bodily and clearly a warble,

                                                                                    you can feel it,

the bottom of the pool comes in clearly,

                                                            rippling,

and leaving the crackle in.      Keeps things moving      grooving

                  & dreaming           baby blue,

a voice coming to carry me back where      like heat lightning I saw

we can run it simple and smooth

                                                                                       a pile of sugared electronics

                                                                                       a glut of neon

and me watching her use the whole damn thing

shimmering and shaking         up and down

                                                                        a problem ruining

the government listening            through a window
